I have a confession to make, I’m a closet synthpop lover, and these are the guys that made me fall hard. Passion Pit, the band from Massachusetts, are often featured on soundtracks for various movies, including the indie-influenced Twilight soundtracks. For me, this has to be one of their best songs (add to the list: sleepyhead and where I come from). I’ve had it on repeat for the past two weeks, because its just that good, depicting the ordinary life of a businessman in a tight spot (apparently influenced by a family member of the lead singers). Enjoy!!
I looooovvvvee Katy Perry (yeah whatever, mentally I’m still a pimply, chubby teenage girl who secretly adores the cool kids). I love that she’s not afraid to be herself, and her “triumph in spite of circumstances” kind of attitude, which this song perfectly embodies. It’s a great way to get your week started! I can’t wait to see what the rest of the new album has in store and this video is typically Katy-cute
