Thursday Throwback: catching your heart

I thought I’d post this week about one of my most favorite bands ever, in honour of the fact that they are working on a new album.

Snow Patrol made it big internationally with this song in 2006 after it featured in America in an episode of Grey’s Anatomy. Amazingly, this song spent a massive 52 weeks on one of Britain’s top music charts.

Snow Patrol have never failed to woo me with their powerful and heartfelt lyrics found throughout their body of work. Needless to say I’m looking forward to the next album. Gary Lightbody might be funny looking, but when he opens his mouth to sing, he’s the sexiest man alive.

this is such a cool thing you do. talking about music. i have missed this. there are quite a few people who are passionate about music but somehow i havent come across them or have been led into a conversation about music. hmm, thanks a lot for this. 🙂
    this is a great song
highlight for me was when they played at coke fest in joburg a few years back, and how tearful and humble Gary Lightbody was… he seemed so grateful to be playing music and when the crowd sang back word for word… he was so moved…

Aw thanks for the encouragement! One of my biggest regrets was missing them when they played Coke Fest, and I could hear them singing “Shut your Eye’s” from my house.
